Manchester-based label Trapped Audio are back after a slight hiatus with TAR003 ‘Bashment Juice’ 12” from pioneering Steel City collective and newest members of the to the TA family, Denham Audio.

The record comprises of the title track ‘Bashment Juice’ which lands with heavy relenting amen breaks, commanding vocal samples and acid inspired synths provoking the nostalgia of the ‘90s, that sit perfectly over marauding basslines.

On the A2 we’re also treated to a feature from Rider Shafique, member of the boundary-pushing Young Echo collective hailing from Bristol. His vocals sit perfectly over the hauntingly rising pads interweaving with dubbed-out synths and basslines that romanticise early Jungle.

The third cut comes in the shape of Saltfish Patty with perfect amens cast over the backdrop of a dubbed out bassline to add some extra flavour to the EP.

Last, but by no means least, is a beautifully stripped back low-frequency take on the original track from the legendary Horsepower Productions aka Benny Ill and Matt HP, reminiscent of the early 2000s Dubstep we all know and love.

Coming after their latest release on Durkel Disco and Boiler Room Debut. ‘Bashment Juice’ track was featured on Resident Advisor’s Cutting It : A Dubplate Special and the EP has received support from the likes of Madam X, Sully, Moxie, Dj Seinfeld plus many more.
